I’m Andrea Brand, and I’m excited to be part of the Ella Grant Elementary team! I bring 4 years of experience in education and a passion for supporting our school community. As a wife and mother of three, I understand the importance of balance and organization, and I bring that same mindset to my work. Outside of the office, you’ll find me spending quality time with my family or traveling to new places. I’m looking forward to a fantastic year at Ella Grant and can’t wait to work alongside such a great team!

My Name is Arnetta Denise McDaniel, aka Ms. Mac by my Ella Grant students. I was born and raised in Prichard and TMV, but I am so PA!

This is my second year teaching at Ella Grant and I’ve cherished and enjoyed every moment being an educator. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family and I also love everything Mickey Mouse. I am looking forward to this upcoming school year and meeting all of my new students.

My name is Lededria Baker, and I am a dedicated educator with 17 years of experience in elementary education. This is my third year serving as a Building-Based Math Coach with OMI. I hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Educational Specialist degree in Elementary Education, as well as a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction. I am the proud mother of one daughter, and in our free time, we love to read and watch movies together.

As a math coach, my goal is to support teachers in creating engaging, effective math instruction that builds student confidence and deepens understanding. I am excited to continue soaring and growing in the Eagle’s Nest!

This is my 9th year as an educator. I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of South Alabama. I have been in the realm of math for the past 4 years, as a math coach, 3rd grade math/science teacher, and 6th grade math teacher. In addition, I've also taught 2nd and 4th grade all subjects. I look forward to teaching 5th grade math and science this year! It's going to be a fun and academically productive year. As a teacher, my ultimate goal is to make a difference in the lives of children who are often forgotten, discounted, and who need empowerment, belief in themselves, and someone who believes in them. Furthermore, as a math teacher my goal is to hep every student build confidence in their math skills by fostering a growth mindset, encouraging problem-solving, and making math relevant and engaging. I aim to create a classroom where mistakes are seen as learning opportunities and every student feels capable of success.
Via my skills of innovation and creativity, my desire is to take education for today’s students to another level. With your help, I intend on accomplishing this by creating students who are questioners, thinkers, and life-long learners. Are you up for the challenge?

Alexis is 25 years old and proudly hails from Mount Vernon, Alabama. She graduated from Alabama State University with a bachelor's degree in Business Management. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. In addition to joining our teaching team, Alexis also works as a realtor with Keller Williams Alabama Gulf Coast and an assistant dance teacher at Premiere Dance Studio. When she is not working, she enjoys dancing, traveling, and going to the gym. Alexis is excited to embark on this new journey of teaching kindergarten and looks forward to helping her students grow, learn, and shine throughout the school year. 

Ms. Brandi Mance is an enthusiastic and dedicated educator with deep roots in Mobile, AL, where she was raised after being born in Indianapolis, IN. From a young age, Ms. Mance discovered her passion for teaching, inspired by the impactful educators she encountered along the way. Ms. Mance’s goal is to be that unforgettable teacher who leaves a positive mark on her students' lives. A proud graduate of LeFlore High School in 2010, Brandi was a member of the 2009 Girls State Championship Basketball team, showcasing her commitment to teamwork and excellence. Ms. Mance earned her B.S. in Biology from Alcorn State University in Lorman, MS, and is driven to instill a love for learning in her students. Ms. Mance is dedicated to creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that fosters curiosity and critical thinking. Drawing on her experience in management at Walmart, she has successfully implemented innovative teaching strategies that accommodate diverse learning styles, leading to enhanced engagement among coworkers and new employees. Ms. Mance is excited to inspire and empower her students on their educational journeys. Ms. Mance is a strong proponent of incorporating technology into the classroom, equipping her students with the skills they need for a successful future. Outside of Ms. Mance’s teaching duties, she enjoys spending family time with her three year old daughter, reading, and attending sporting events. Ms. Mance is thrilled to bring her creativity and passion for education to her new role, where she aims to inspire the next generation of learners. She is beyond excited to embark on this new journey as a 4th-grade teacher at Ella Grant and is truly grateful for this wonderful opportunity. Go Eagles!

Angie Brown is a dedicated Fifth Grade teacher with a passion for fostering student growth and learning. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Instructional Design and Development, both from the University of South Alabama. With a strong foundation in education and instructional strategies, Ms. Brown strives to create an engaging and supportive classroom environment where every student can succeed. #soaringtogreaterheights #theeaglesway
